溜馬與暴龍在系列賽前4戰各取2勝，今天在多倫多進行關鍵第5戰，溜馬一路領先，帶著13分優勢進入尾節卻沒能關起勝利大門，單節僅靠4記進球攻下9分，終場以99：102遭暴龍逆轉戰局。
暴龍後衛德羅展（DeMar DeRozan）攻下全隊最高的34分，幫助球隊在首輪系列賽搶下3勝2敗「聽牌」，最快周六就能淘汰溜馬。
溜馬全場最多領先達17分，打得暴龍主場安靜無聲，眼看距離勝利就差最後12分鐘，前三節已飆37分的喬治，在第四節先坐板凳，溜馬的攻勢自此上演大崩盤。
暴龍開局打出6：0攻勢，將喬治再逼上戰場，但前三節一手定江山的功力不再，而是一次要命失誤作球給暴龍輕鬆得分。溜馬在第四節前6分鐘就發生6次失誤，給了暴龍反撲的契機，在這6分鐘內追平比分。
喬治全場狂攻39分，但第4節只有2分進袋，輸掉一場到手的勝利，他賽後在走進淋浴間前，盯著比賽數據看了好一會兒，他說：「我不是想要怪罪隊友，但我想全隊都必須知道自己該有所作為。」
溜馬在最後2.7秒的進攻，由希爾（Solomon Hill）在外線出手命中，但經由重播判定比賽時間在出手前已經終了，進球不算，暴龍以3分之差帶走勝利，暴龍前鋒卡洛（DeMarre Carroll）鬆了口氣，「感謝上帝，現在有重播輔助判決系統。」
